About Us
Harper Dolman & West Insurance Ltd is the latest trading style of a family run business which has been based in Ilminster for over 40 Years.
In early 1998 there were two Insurance Brokers in Ilminster, KC Harper Insurance and Dolman & West. KC Harper Insurance, a family run business set up by Ken Harper and later managed by his son Keith, whereas Dolman & West Insurance was owned and managed by Mary Hedges.
When Mary and Keith decided in 1998 to join forces and merge Harper Dolman & West Insurance was born and traded from 20 East Street in the same office where we are today. When Keith decided to retire he allowed his office manager, Steve Redwood, to buy the business who incorporated the business as Harper Dolman & West Insurance Ltd.
We are very proud that as with the previous regimes the company is still an independently run family business with roots to the local community. We take pride in being able to support and sponsor so many local groups and events and look to do so for many years to come.
